The Trump regime has said it is preparing to use armed forces to round up millions of undocumented immigrants, put them in concentration camps, and deport them upon taking office. He plans to use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 which was used as legal justification to mass incarcerate over 125,000 Japanese Americans. This would enact a massive violation of civil liberties and human rights using the template of Japanese American mass incarceration on a scale many times greater than World War II.
Tsuru for Solidarity remains determined to stand in solidarity with communities being targeted by state violence. We affirm our own commitment to be the allies that our people needed during WWII and to oppose white nationalists embedded in the government who are preparing to target communities of color and immigrant communities with violence while massively overturning civil liberties and human rights.
