500+ people committed to action on August 9th, over 1,000 people committed in September - Defend Our Juries made clear our intention to continue to oppose this absurd ban until it is overturned. A Judicial Review is pending in November, but the Home Office can, and should, overturn this ban before that time.

This is a defining moment for peaceful protest in the United Kingdom. The proscribing of direct action groups as “terrorist organisations” is a major assault on democracy and everyone’s rights to freedom of expression. Since Yvette Cooper and the UK Government brought in the ban on Palestine Action in July record numbers of people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act, simply for opposing this absurd ban and for supporting a direct action group whose intention is to end UK complicity in genocide.

We will not comply with anti-democratic laws. We call on the UK Government to Lift The Ban on Palestine Action.
