In addition to London, Defend Our Juries are calling on people to join an action in Edinburgh on September 6th at 2pm outside Queen Elizabeth House.

This is a defining moment for peaceful protest in the United Kingdom. The proscribing of direct action groups as “terrorist organisations” is a major assault on democracy and everyone’s rights to freedom of expression. Since Yvette Cooper and the UK Government brought in the ban on Palestine Action just weeks ago, more people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act (for such “offences” as holding a sign) than the total number of terrorism-related arrests in the whole of last year!

We will not comply with anti-democratic laws. We call on the UK Government to Lift The Ban.
