Tell your State Attorney General: Hold Live Nation-Ticketmaster accountable

Through multiple investigative reports, More Perfect Union has been holding Live Nation-Ticketmaster accountable for years.

Our investigative reporting found that ticket prices for the biggest acts between 1970 and 1989 cost around $45. Today you’re paying exorbitant service fees and indie venues are getting squeezed, all because two corporations gobbled up the industry.

But now, after years of building a case that Live Nation-Ticketmaster should be broken up, and one week into the trial brought initially by President Biden’s Dept. of Justice and dozens of states, the federal government announced that it is letting Live Nation-Ticketmaster off the hook.

More than two dozen states are rejecting this settlement, claiming that it does not do enough to rein in Live Nation’s greed. In fact, the $280 million settlement represents just four days of revenue for a corporation that raked in more than $25 billion last year alone.

Sign our petition to your State Attorney General now, and urge them to either join or remain on the lawsuit to break up Live Nation-Ticketmaster and hold this greedy monopoly accountable.
