Livestream Discussion - The Count: Preparing for Post Election Action

Thank you for signing up for The Count: Preparing for Post Election Action, Wednesday, Oct 28 at 5pm PT.

The 2020 Presidential Election is upon us, and most of the country is feeling a heightened level of anxiety and dread in these days leading up to Nov. 3rd.

The fight for Basic Income in the U.S. depends on our country's democracy, and the ability for our federal government to function as our Constitution outlines. Income Movement believes that one of the most important things we can all do right now, every person in the United States, is educate ourselves about the post - election process for electing the president, anticipate moments where Trump could contest the results, and prepare for what each of us will do to rise in that moment. If the election results are uneventful, if all votes are counted, and contestation of the results doesn't happen, awesome! But preparing for the alternative is key to limiting the chaos that could ensure post Election Day.

The Count: A Practical Guide to Defending the Constitution in a Contested 2020 Election, is an amazing tool and resource for each of us to use in preparing for potential post-election events. Here's a link to an interview Becky Bond did on Evening Skew talking about The Count (it begins at the 30 min mark).

Income Movement is honored to host a livestream event to bring the author's of The Count, Becky Bond and Zack Malitz, into conversation with the basic income community. In the conversation, you will be able to ask questions and hear more about why the authors were compelled to write The Count.

We hope you will join us.
