Departmental organizing committees are made up of members just like you who are frustrated with our working conditions and realize that things won’t change unless we build our unity and numbers to the point where the employer cannot ignore us.

Alone, we’re isolated and easier to intimidate.

Together, we are stronger.

Our biggest source of strength, of leverage, is the power we have in numbers. But we need to get organized to build up the bargaining power needed to win on issues that matter to us in our workplaces and our communities.

Departmental Organizing Committee members will be provided with training and resources to get you organizing your coworkers.

When you sign up, we’ll be in touch to connect you with your coworkers who have formed an organizing committee in your department and about basic organizer training. Some departments haven’t started organizing committees yet, so make sure talk to your coworkers and get others to sign up too. That way we can help start one at your department.
