Meet Your MP: Speak Up for Nuclear Disarmament

Eighty years after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the nine nuclear-armed states are investing billions in their nuclear arsenals in a new arms race. The risk of nuclear weapons use is real and rising. Australia has not yet signed the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) – but with public pressure, we will change that.

Your voice matters. MPs listen to their constituents, and meeting face-to-face is one of the most powerful ways to influence them.

We’re calling on supporters across the country to sign up to meet with your local MP and raise the urgent case for nuclear disarmament. Together we can push Australia to stand on the right side of history and join the majority of nations who have already rejected these weapons of mass destruction.

Sign up today to meet your MP and call for Australia to sign the TPNW.

By signing up, you’ll:

  • Get support and resources from ICAN to make your meeting effective.

  • Be part of a network of Australians taking action on this issue.

  • Help send a clear message to Parliament: Australians want a future free of the nuclear weapons threat.

Nuclear weapons have no place in our defence policies, our alliances, or our future. Let’s make sure our MPs hear that.
