The following are the current Miami DSA active Working Groups:

Political Education: Increase the knowledge base of new and existing members on the general topic of socialism and specific topics relating to our ongoing organizing and to the local, national, and global political context in which we operate. Maintain an open dialogue about whether we can improve upon the way we are currently operating.

Social: Organize and hold events for general membership of the Chapter by putting the social in socialism. Developing relationships with venues and spaces that embrace an alternative to corporate-driven social experiences.

Mobilization: Engage and activate new and existing members to attend meetings and events of the Chapter. Maintain lists and integrate members into existing structures as well as supporting an influx of new members.

Comms & Media: Be the megaphone of the Chapter by creating effective propaganda that will attract new members and activate membership through internal communications infrastructures, print materials, social media posts, newsletters, podcasts and our website. Advertise upcoming events and ensure our membership can easily stay informed about what we have going on. Maintain lists and outreach to members.

Mutual Aid: Socialism in action through mutual aid by going beyond charity as a top-down social relation and working in solidarity towards self-determination for all.

Labor: Create and support links with local labor and workers of the County. Unions in the area have not been the most militant or progressive and we must make sure the working class have strong unions that will fight to better their lives.
