Missouri Faith Leaders: Stand Against Federal Executions!

In coordination with abolition groups across the nation, we encourage Faith Leaders in Missouri to sign this letter to stop the resumption of federal executions. Signatures will be collected until July 5th.

As the rest of the country moves away from the death penalty, the Trump administration announced on Monday another attempt to resume the federal death penalty by scheduling the executions of four people. We need your help – and your unique voice – to prevent these executions from going forward.

Joint statement from faith leaders:

As faith leaders from a diverse range of traditions, we call on President Trump and Attorney General Barr to stop the scheduled federal executions. As our country grapples with the COVID 19 pandemic, an economic crisis, and systemic racism in the criminal legal system, we should be focused on protecting and preserving life, not carrying out executions.
