Our city, like everywhere, is facing uncertain times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Exactly how this will impact our local economy remains to be seen, but compounded by the damage from the recent tornado, the prognosis is definitely worrisome.

Now more than ever our students need us as advocates for dignity in the classroom. MNEA is fighting to ensure that once schools reopen, every student will return to a certified teacher in the classroom, and that there will be social and emotional supports readily available to help students process the unprecedented turmoil they have endured.
