Indicative Strike Ballot at – Cardinal Allen Catholic High School – Transfer of Employment and Failure to Consult.

The NEU have become increasingly concerned by issues of Transfer of Employment through academisation at Cardinal Allen Catholic High School and the failure of the employer to meaningfully consult with the union on this matter.

Members have told us that they are unwilling to accept the potential academisation that is being pursued by the Diocese of Lancaster.

We are therefore asking members to vote YES in an indicative ballot to show that you would be prepared to take strike action should that be necessary in a formal strike ballot next half term.

We believe that voting to support potential action now will send the strongest message to the employer that they must deal with staff safety and wellbeing properly.

If we do move to a formal strike ballot then we will consult you about this before making any decisions. Any strike action will be subject to strike pay from the union.

Voting will close at 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June. The voting link may close earlier if all votes are cast.
