Political research has shown that candidates who just barely eked out endorsements are presumably no better or worse politicians than those who fell just short of it, but the former got a substantially larger chunk of the primary vote than the latter. Depending on how they ran the analysis, they found an endorsement effect of somewhere between seven and 15 points.

What makes DAVID TK HAYES a progressive champion? "I speak out a lot on issues. I stand at meetings and talk. I think about policy and I make my thoughts known:

• I have volunteered at Planned Parenthood in Orlando with specific events requiring security and volunteers to manage protesters
• I donate platelets almost every two weeks, pretty much for the past 30 years, and I have amassed 460+ donations in my lifetime
• I encourage my coworkers to vote on issues.  I post my completed sample ballot at my workplace and online to encourage people to vote for the things that they believe in.
• I am a member of FFRF, NOW, ACTBlue, the ACLU, Ducks Unlimited, local Chambers of Commerce, and I have donated thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, NOW, WUSF Radio, the ACLU, the National Skydiving Museum, as well as progressive political campaigns and candidates.
• I have written dozens of letters, emails and made hundreds of phone calls to my representatives over the past 20 years to express my views on issues and to ask tough questions.
• I have pursued and appeared often, at town halls, and govt meetings with my representatives and often choose to speak at them about the things I care about."

What does DAVID TK HAYES pledge to tackle once in office? "My platform includes a majority of social and economic issues, not specific 'Pasco County local platform'. My website has many videos and position papers on these subjects:

• Women's rights & Protections
• Legalization of marijuana, which relates to the next two:
• Criminal Justice Reform
• Bail Reform (and getting rid of it)
• Voting rights and Restoration of Felony voting rights for ALL felons
• Common sense guns laws
• Lots of other issues to tackle, Healthcare, and Medicaid expansion in FL, and education needs work
