Every year since 2020, the Nonviolent Medicaid Army (NVMA) has hosted a national Day or Week of Action in September. This year, the NVMA is organizing a coordinated National Day of Action for Medicaid on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

In an effort to build greater unity across our state, the Capital Region Unite the Poor Network will be traveling to NYC to participate in a joint action.

Logistical details are still being worked out, but if you are interested in taking part in the action, please fill out this form - this will help us arrange transport, food, and accessibility for the day.

We expect to depart Albany around 8am, and return around 8pm. The day will consist of travel, a public action, meals, and time to meet and connect with other Nonviolent Medicaid Army leaders in New York City.
