I want to organise a 'People’s Release’ of the London Recruits film

London Recruits tells the story of young people from London who volunteered to carry out secret underground missions in South Africa at the request of the ANC, in order to support the struggle of the South African people against apartheid.

The film, which recently won ‘Best Documentary’ at the Johannesburg Film Festival, is due for release in Autumn 2024, due in large part to the ongoing support of the trade union movement.

We are requesting your support once more with this launch, to ensure that it is a success and that this inspiring story of international solidarity in the struggle against apartheid is brought to a new generation of trade unionists.

We are organising a ‘People’s Release’ of the film in the autumn where we are hoping to show the film in independent cinemas up and down the country, with the support of local community group, trade union branches and trades councils.

If you are able to help with the People’s Release, please register your details so we can put you in touch with others wanting to show the film in your local area by completing this form.

Please note you might hear from both the General Federation of Trade Unions and also London Recruits film team in relation to the information submitted in this form.
