Minor Volunteer Guidelines

Please review the following guidelines before providing consent.
1. The minor volunteer will follow campaign instructions and remain with an assigned adult, parent/guardian, or approved canvassing partner when required.
2. A minor volunteer will not canvass door-to-door alone.
3. A minor volunteer will not enter a voter's residence while canvassing.
4. The minor volunteer should immediately leave any situation that feels unsafe, hostile, or inappropriate and contact the supervising adult or campaign.
5. The minor volunteer will not handle campaign money, make purchases on behalf of the campaign, drive other campaign volunteers, or represent themselves as authorized to make commitments on behalf of the campaign unless specifically authorized.
6. Campaign activities must not interfere with school obligations. The volunteer and parent/guardian are responsible for determining the volunteer's availability.
7. Transportation arrangements will be agreed upon in advance by the volunteer, parent/guardian, and campaign as appropriate.
8. The campaign may end or modify a volunteer activity when necessary for safety, operational, or legal reasons.
You may withdraw permission for the minor to participate by contacting Kelly for NJ-03.
