We, the undersigned veterans, military family members, and concerned Americans, demand the immediate removal of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Pentagon whistleblowers have made it clear: Pete Hegseth has “no clue what he’s doing.” That alone is disqualifying, but the facts we’ve learned are far worse.

Multiple officials have confirmed that Hegseth failed to inform the White House before halting U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine, a reckless, unilateral move that endangered lives, undermined international alliances, and destabilized our foreign policy.

He is also under investigation for using Signal messages linked to an email account marked "SECRET,” a clear violation of security protocols, according to a federal watchdog.

This is not just poor judgment. It’s a full-blown national security crisis.

Under Hegseth’s leadership, the Department of Defense has become a toxic, dysfunctional environment:

• Dissent is silenced and staff report a pervasive climate of fear.
• Military expertise is ignored in favor of political stunts and public spectacle.
• A taxpayer-funded makeup studio was built to support his personal PR efforts.
• Crucial diversity, equity, and inclusion programs have been gutted—leading to an increase in racism, harassment, and low morale across the ranks.

Our troops, our allies, and our nation deserve better. Pete Hegseth has demonstrated that he is unfit to serve—not only because of his incompetence, but also because of the chaos, fear, and damage he continues to cause within the Pentagon.

This cannot continue. It’s time for new leadership at the Department of Defense.

We call on President Trump and members of Congress to act swiftly: Remove Pete Hegseth from his position as Secretary of Defense.
