PLEDGE TO HOLD UO ACCOUNTABLE FOR COMPLICITY IN GENOCIDE

U of O Administration has refused to do the bare minimum to respond to the genocide in Gaza. Administration has refused to support a ceasefire in Gaza and has refused to recognize that a genocide is underway. Because of this, the institution has failed to take responsibility for its role in the proliferation of war and violence. By investing in companies that profit off the occupation of Palestine, the University is both supporting and profiting from the genocide. Not only will the university refuse to recognize this as such, but they refuse to even engage in a conversation about divestment from the war machine. Do not let the University trick you into thinking they cannot make a difference in this fight - the U of O Foundation alone has $2.8 billion in assets. They can and should fight for change.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to show the University that students are united behind Gaza. Let’s tell U of O that enough is enough. It’s time to come to the table and work towards meeting students’ demands. In signing the following pledge, you are helping us send that message.

THE UO FOR PALESTINE COALITION'S DEMANDS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON

  5. Cease all academic exchanges, bi-national US-Israeli research grants, and other relationships with Israeli universities which are complicit in occupation.

  6. Further investment in educational resources on Palestine, including enhanced course offerings and recruitment of Palestinian students and visiting faculty.
