Pledge to Vote NO on Amendment 83

Most Coloradans have never heard of Amendment 83. That's exactly why it could pass.

It sounds harmless: a "right to hunt and fish." But hunting and fishing are already legal here. What Amendment 83 actually adds is two vague words, "traditional methods," written into our state Constitution with no definition.

Colorado voters already said no to steel-jaw traps and snares in 1996, and to bear baiting and hound hunting in 1992. Amendment 83's fuzzy language could open the door to bringing them back, and once it's in the Constitution, it's very hard to undo.

Here's the good news: Amendment 83 needs 55% of the vote to pass. We just need to keep it under that.

Take ten seconds and make your pledge. We'll send you a friendly reminder before ballots are due on November 3 at 7 p.m.
