Pledge to Vote Stanley Martin for Rochester City Council
My name is Stanley Martin and I hope to serve the Rochester community with love, courage and integrity as your City Councilmember. I hold a Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling, certification in Recovery Peer Advocacy, and have years of experience standing with our communities to make Rochester a better and more equitable place to live. Whether it’s advocating for better mental health policy, supporting the Police Accountability Board, bringing food directly to Rochester’s families, or fighting for more affordable housing, I am here to change and enact policy that directly serves everyday people in our city.
I’m running for City Council to use my years of experience in mental health care and community organizing to address the root causes of the problems we’ve faced for far too many years.
We know that the safest, healthiest communities have the most resources.I believe we can invest in Rochester and make those resources accessible to everyone by putting our public dollars directly back into: community health care, living wage job programs, proactive violence prevention and restorative justice programs, green infrastructure, affordable child care, safe and secure housing, local schools and youth services, arts programs, small business grants, home ownership, and helping families recover from COVID-19.
A vote for Stanley Martin is a vote to make Rochester a better city for every resident and uplift the voices of people in our community. We have the tools, we have the community, now all we need is a City Council with the courage to do what is right. Together, and with your vote in the upcoming primary, we can bring real change to Rochester.
