Poll chaplains and peacekeepers are faith leaders and members of the laity who bring a calming, non-partisan presence on election day to polling locations that are particularly at-risk of being targeted for voter intimidation. These trainings will cover the fundamentals of the poll chaplaincy program, de-escalation tactics and possible election day scenarios, and a brief overview of voting rights. Upon completion of the training, you will be invited to choose from among our pre-identified poll chaplaincy locations and added to the appropriate communications thread for next steps.
