We're running for AFSCME International Union Convention delegate to members back in charge! We are rank-and-file Local 1549 members working at the NYC Campaign Finance Board who want to bring our values of transparency, ethics, and independence to our union.

AFSCME convention is the highest authoritative body in our union—important decisions are going to be made there and Local 1549 members deserve an independent voice at convention who will vote for our members' interests, not just a party line.

We pledge to bring convention to the members and to be the voice who will advocate on your behalf, with your input and guidance. We plan to:

  • Host pre-convention discussions to get member feedback on proposals, candidates running for international officer positions, and more
  • Provide live updates from AFSCME convention and keep our membership in the loop regarding convention business
  • Write a full report for Local 1549 membership on what happened and how it'll impact DC37 and Local 1549
  • And more!

Here's how to vote in the elections and if you're voting via phone, be sure to press "1 & 2" to vote for Logan and press "3 & 4" to vote for Honda!

If you did not receive a ballot for the election by May 10, 2024, then contact the Local 1549 Elections Committee at electionscommittee7@gmail.com to request a duplicate ballot to be mailed to you. The deadline to request a duplicate ballot is May 20, 2024 and your request must include the following information:

  1. Member’s first and last name
  2. Member’s home mailing address (Street, City, State & ZIP Code)
  3. Member’s phone number
  4. Member’s email address
  5. Member’s date of birth
  6. Last 4 digits of member’s Social Security number
