Queers for Palestine - Ottawa is an organization of queer and trans people advocating and organizing for liberation. We are committed to the ongoing struggle for liberation of our queer communities and of all people - core principles of queer liberation.

We stand in solidarity with the struggles for liberation of the Palestinian people and of queer Palestinians. We aim to center and amplify the voices of Palestinians, in Palestine and in diaspora, who are and have been leading the calls to liberate their people. We are anti-Zionist, anti-colonial, and committed to a future where Palestinians, and all Indigenous peoples, have liberated their lands and futures from settler-colonialism.

In 2025, we are organizing to support Capital Pride in taking real, meaningful actions that build on last year's commitments. For us, this is in line with the Liberatory Demand from Queers in Palestine for queer people across the world to pressure our major organizations and institutions to adopt and embody the principles of Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) and the Palestinian Arts and Culture Boycott of Israel (PACBI).

The first Pride was an intifada. Our vision is one of steady progress towards a Pride that is once again for the people, and that embodies our community's values of solidarity and queer liberation.
