As we face yet another threat of mass raids, we must be clear:
1. Raids happen nearly every month -- this threat is not new, and it is onging. We must equip ourselves with tools to stand up against ICE and provide critical support and resources for our immigrant neighbors.
2. The Trump Administration is using fear mongering tactics to create instability within the hearts and minds of the immigrant community and the American public. Trump continually leverages this fear as a bargaining chip to pass inhumane immigration policy, and the Democrats have always taken the bait.
3. If we want to see an end to raids and the constant threat of detention, deportation & family separation, then we must take action. It is not enough to only respond to raids after the fact - we must take direct action to demand protection, dignity and respect for all within immigrant community.
