Rapid Transition: How? (6pm, Wednesday 28th October)

Over the course of this crisis, we’ve all had to shift our behaviour in quite radical ways. Some of these changes have given us a taste of how things can be different, and how rapid transition to a post-carbon economy and society is not only necessary - but possible. Indeed it’s already happening, in small ways and big, around the world. In shifting our practices, norms and assumptions, we can remake our society to address the climate and ecological crises - and also address wellbeing, health and cohesion.

In this session, we’ll be hearing practical pitches from our speakers centered around the themes of the Reset Campaign: how can we care for one another, buy and use less stuff and create more space for people. Come hear about what’s already happening - and how you can get stuck in from:

  • Hirra Khan Adeogun (Possible) on carfree cities
  • Andrew Simms (Rapid Transition Alliance) on wellbeing and the green economy
  • Nicola Round (Adblock Bristol) on badvertising

It is also part of of Compass' Build Back Better: How? programme of events taking place from 22nd October to 31st October.
