On June 18th, Collier County budget hearings are being streamed virtually. You can sign up to give a three minute comment over zoom. It is at these meetings that commissioners will discuss the allocation of taxpayer dollars. This may be the first time anyone has suggested defunding a significant portion of the sheriff's budget. We encourage you to present your argument using our talking points developed in accordance with the Movement for Black Lives and 8 to Abolition.
