Request Access To The Action Network Files Feature

The Action Network Files feature is a public repository for you to share files that you're happy for the general public to have access to. Before requesting access to his feature you need to confirm you have read and have understood the following:

Who Can Access My Action Network Files?

Anybody with internet access can potentially access the content of your Action Network Files folders.

Can I Make Files Private?

No. All Files uploaded to your Action Network Files are public.

What Should I Use The Files Function For?

You may want to use the Files function to add images that are linked to from your page or email wrappers. You may also want to include files that would otherwise be generally available to the public anyway, such as your constitution.

What Shouldn't Be Uploaded?

You should avoid uploading anything containing information that identifies living individuals. For example, candidate nomination forms, membership reports, and electoral roll data. You shouldn't upload anything that would be considered identifying information- such as contact details.

You should also avoid uploading anything that could be considered sensitive or confidential, such as strategy documents.

How Long After Submitting My Request Will I Have Access To The Files Feature?

Your request will be sent to the Digital Support Team, who will verify that your email is that of an Action Network administrator for your Group. Once this is confirmed we aim to respond within two working day. It may take slightly longer during election periods, around public holidays, or when circumstances outside of our control impact resolution times.

Once Access To The Files Feature Is Granted, What Do I Need To Do?

By requesting access to the Files function you are confirming you have read and understood what it is and isn't to be used for. You are also confirming that you will cascade this information to other Action Network users for your Group. Once you have been granted access you should also check for any existing files, and remove any that are no longer needed.

What If Our Group No Longer Needs Access To The Files Function?

If your group no longer requires access to Files, please delete any Files that no longer need to be stored and ask your Group Chair/Coordinator to contact support@greenparty.org.uk requesting removal of the Files feature.

What Happens If Files Isn't The Right Fit?

We may periodically review how the Files feature is being used within your group. If we identify that it's not being used as intended, or if a more suitable alternative becomes available, we may contact you to discuss changes or remove access. We'll always aim to provide notice and support to help you transition smoothly, where needed.
