Support for Meals on Wheels to Switch to Reusable Containers

Join us to learn how you can help transition your local Meals on Wheels program to reusable containers and support reuse in communities to reduce plastic waste.

Thousands of Meals on Wheels programs in the U.S. serve millions of meals each year to older adults and adults with disabilities, providing an essential service to those who need it most. But many programs use single-use meal trays - resulting in millions of pounds of plastic waste. The good news is reusable trays prevent waste, and can save programs money too!

Help us build a network of support for Meals on Wheels programs to switch to reusable trays. We can provide no-cost consulting to help programs find the right containers for their needs. We can also work with programs to find funding to cover the upfront cost of reusables. (Note: we are a 501(c)3 and we do not sell products or services.)

We're looking for:

  • Community activists
  • Meals on wheels administrators and volunteers
  • Government officials
  • NGOs

Fill out this form to let us know you want to learn more and get involved. Our Organizing Director will reach out to you to schedule a meeting right away.
