Oppose Dominion’s Energy's proposed Chesterfield Gas Plant!

Dominion Energy wants to build a new $600 million gas-fired “peaker” plant in Chesterfield. This enormous 1,000-megawatt facility would raise your electric bills, generate toxic air pollution and harm the health of residents. Local residents and allied organizations are fighting this unnecessary project.

What's next?

Dominion Energy has applied for a permit to the Planning Commission of Chesterfield County for a zoning change to build its polluting gas power plant. The company may also avoid that process by trying to build on its existing coal plant property. Your help is needed to let county officials know you oppose the plant at any location!

If you are a Chesterfield resident, you can:

Submit a comment to the Board of Supervisors now and attend, or speak at the next county Board of Supervisors meeting on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to this event page or with this link from Friends of Chesterfield.

***If you are not a Chesterfield resident, your presence is still needed!
