RSVP for Oakland’s City Council Meeting, Nov 10th @3:30pm
On October 6th, Oakland became the first city in Alameda County to pass a 45-day moratorium on data center development. Now we need your help to extend the moratorium!
On November 10th, Oakland’s City Council will vote on a proposal to extend the 45-day moratorium to a full year–a move that other cities, like Richmond, have approved in recent weeks. This is an important step to make sure the City has time to get meaningful input from our communities, research the impacts of data centers, and establish protections and restrictions that work for Oaklanders.
Can you join us at the November 10th City Council meeting at 3:30 pm to make public comment in support of extending the moratorium? We will gather outside of City Hall at 3:10 to connect with one another and go over our talking points!
You can also contact your council member in advance of the vote to urge them to support.
Power to the People- Let’s do this!
