Make a complaint to Sheffield City Council over Veolia's bungling of the bins and recycling service

Sheffield Council: Clean up Veolia's Mess

Sheffield residents are being let down by Veolia's continued failure to recognise the right of its workforce to be represented by a union of their choice. Workers have been out on strike since August 2024,  collections being missed and services disrupted.

Our council tax should fund reliable services and fair working conditions — not corporate failure. Let’s demand better for Sheffield.

Let's use Sheffield Council's own complaints service to make sure they hear the choice of Sheffield residents and waste and recycling workers.

This is your city, make your voice heard.

Remember to tell the council about how your services have been affected. You can also talk about the impacts on the city and the broader community. Please urge Sheffield City Council to:

✅ Launch an immediate review of the Veolia contract

✅ Hold Veolia accountable for service failures

✅ Demand Veolia negotiate with Unite the Union and return to the negotiating table
