Send a message of solidarity to striking bin workers in Birmingham!
More than 350 Birmingham bin workers are on strike, due to the council’s decision to abolish the safety critical Waste Recycling and Collection Officer (WRCO) role.
This means pay cuts of up to £8,000 for 150 workers.
The refuse workers have previously accepted voluntary cuts to their pay & terms and conditions to assist the council after it effectively declared bankruptcy. As well as dealing with constant problems caused by the council’s aging and breakdown prone fleet of bin lorries.
It's time the Council listened to its bin workers and stopped further cuts to a service already on its knees!
Please send a message of support to the Birmingham bin workers on strike.
