SIGN NOW: Support Amazon Workers Union Organizing
Workers at an Amazon facility in Staten Island, JFK8, made history when they became the first Amazon workers to unionize with the Amazon Labor Union.
This movement is only beginning. Voting is currently underway at another Staten Island facility next door, LDJ5, on whether or not to unionize.
Amazon is one of the wealthiest multinational corporations in the world, headed by one of the wealthiest billionaires in the world, yet the workers who make Amazon run are underpaid and grossly mistreated. Workers are forced to perform back-breaking labor with little to no breaks, including bathroom breaks, and are often forced to work without adequate protective equipment.
A union would not only advocate for better wages, but it would allow workers to bargain for safer working conditions and paid time off.
Amazon workers deserve dignity and respect. Sign the petition to show your support for their unionization efforts.
