SIGN NOW: Tell Congress: Expel Madison Cawthorn
Madison Cawthorn was one of the last people to talk to the Jan 6 insurrectionists before they stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to subvert democracy. Hundreds of people were injured in the attack. Five died. At least two Capitol Police officers took their own lives in the days after.
That’s not enough for Madison Cawthorn.
In the months since the insurrection, he’s used every opportunity to push election disinformation and whip his radical right-wing followers into a frenzy. On August 29, Cawthorn was caught on camera suggesting he’d take up arms against other Americans and making thinly-veiled threats of “bloodshed” in defense of Trump’s lies.
Cawthorn knows that his lies can lead to violence, but he keeps going.
The House of Representatives can’t let sitting Members of Congress threaten violence against our country and fellow citizens. They must expel Cawthorn immediately.
