US Representative Jesús “Chuy” Garcia has introduced a resolution calling for transit parity in the Surface Transportation Reauthorization Act of 2021. This would change the 80-20 highway-to-transit split to 50-50, investing in public transit, our environment and our communities.

This is critical to reducing our reliance on carbon-emitting cars and trucks, while also promoting racial justice and equitable access to everyday destinations like jobs, school, doctor’s offices and the grocery store.
