Last year, Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis signed legislation requiring public universities and colleges to conduct surveys with students and staff about their beliefs to determine “viewpoint diversity.”

We still don’t know what consequences this legislation is going to have, but it’s clear that the true purpose of this bill is to silence students and infringe on colleges' and universities’ ability to teach.
