Even Kemi knows First Past the Post is scandalous – it's time for her to back PR
The winds of change are blowing through British politics, and even the most stalwart defenders of the status quo are starting to say what we have always known to be true.
In a recent interview, Conservative Party Leader Kemi Badenoch MP stated that:
“If this was a country where you had proportional representation, it would probably come out in the wash, but we don't. So you will have a party like Labour, which has won a landslide majority on 34 per cent of the vote. That is a scandal.”
Kemi is right, no party should be able to secure total power with the support of only a minority of the public.

Text of the open letter:
Dear Kemi Badenoch MP,
In a recent interview, you correctly called it a "scandal" that "you will have a party like Labour, which has won a landslide majority on 34 per cent of the vote".
This is indeed a scandal. No party should be able to secure total power with the support of only a minority of voters. Polling shows that the public prefers a fairer, proportional voting system.
Will you meet with us to discuss how we can end the scandal of First Past the Post?
Yours sincerely,
Emma Harrison
