At last, Wisconsin will have new legislative districts, ending a decade of GOP gerrymandering. Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has signed into law new maps that were drawn after the state supreme court ordered that new districts be drawn.

This is a game-changer for Wisconsin: a swing state where razor-thin margins decide victories—such as Biden's 20,000-vote win in 2020. But former Gov. Scott Walker and his MAGA cronies had drawn lines to preserve massive GOP majorities in the legislature, giving them an illegitimate hold on power for 12 years.

This victory only happened because Wisconsin voters elected a new state Supreme Court in April, led by Janet Protasiewicz's decisive ten-point victory. When democracy was under attack, the voters came out and reclaimed their power by electing a new state Supreme Court.
