Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye the Science Guy serve a valuable public service every day, informing and promoting the general public about science. They are also willing to go head to head against the ignorance of climate deniers and anti-vaxxers.

For their service, they get slandered by right-wing media types as "condescending." They get called that, because the opposition really has no leg to stand on besides name-calling.
