The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a far-right hate group that won the repeal of Roe, has made their next fight clear: Ending access to birth control.

ADF has a history of successfully litigating Supreme Court cases that roll back reproductive freedoms. Their recent victory in Texas, which led to the unprecedented judicial suspension of a long-standing FDA approval for mifepristone (a pill used in half of all abortions in America), makes it clear that ADF wants a total abortion ban.

Now, they are coming for birth control, even stating that “one day, Americans would ‘say the birth control pill is a mistake.’” And while we might assume our access to contraceptives would remain safe, these extremist attacks prove we cannot let our guard down.

Access to birth control affects the health, economic stability, and freedom of choice for millions. Rolling back access to birth control disproportionately impacts low-income families, communities of color, and undermines public health. We must defend our freedom to choose if, when, and how to grow a family against organizations like ADF before our rights are further eroded.
