The petition to Congress reads:

"Pass legislation and provide funding to support a sustainable and regenerative agriculture industry."

According to the USDA, the agricultural industry is responsible for more than 10 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. Every pound of beef or pork, every jar of almonds, and every tree toppled contributes to climate change and the destruction of our environment.

That’s why we’re calling on policymakers to pass policies that will reduce agriculture’s impact on the environment – policies that will help farmers adopt sustainable farming practices, improve soil health, and reduce agricultural emissions for the long term.
