Sign the petition to corporations: Don't cave to bigotry. We won't forget
Target has become the latest company to cave to bigotry–pulling their Pride collection, which included clothes and books for children. This right before LGBTQ Pride Month, amid a record number of proposed anti-LGBTQ bills, and an escalation of white nationalists and other hate groups targeting gay bars and drag shows.
In other words, Target has shown their hand, supporting bigoted extremists while the LGBTQ community is under attack–a community Target previously claimed to support.
Like Target, Bud Light also caved. After receiving conservative backlash against working with a transgender influencer, Bud Light placed the marketing executives “on leave”, providing heads to roll to appease the outcry of bigotry.
Corporations are caving to homophobic threats and tantrums and letting bigoted extremists know their public meltdowns are more important than supporting and protecting humanity and community. What's more, they are emboldening those who criticized corporations like Target and Bud Light in the first place, encouraging future attacks.
Shame on you. We see you and we will not forget.
