Washington is broken and the American people are fed up with dysfunction. Congress can’t govern, and it’s not just because the Republicans sabotaged themselves by removing the Speaker. Too many politicians have lost sight of why they are in Washington: To represent the people and not continually cave to the influence of corporate money in politics. Meanwhile, our Supreme Court has been politicized and now acts as another arm of extremist conservatives, continually stripping us of our rights.

Restoring confidence in our democratic institutions requires putting the American people first, not corporations, special interests, or members of the federal government.

A comprehensive political reform platform has been introduced in Congress. This bold anti-corruption plan includes:

• Ban campaign contributions from PACs and lobbyists of any kind;
• Ban stock trading by members of Congress and lobbying from retired members;
• Set 12-year term limits for members of Congress;
• Set 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justices; and
• Implement a judicial code of ethics for federal judges and Supreme Court justices
