British Columbia Physicians Against Genocide (BC PAG) is a group of BC physicians working to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide in Gaza

Our activities include:

• Demanding the release of Palestinian healthcare workers illegally detained without charge in Israeli prisons, and pending their release demanding humane treatment and timely access to healthcare
• Pressing Canada, other levels of government, and our medical organizations to uphold the protection of healthcare as codified in international law and hold the Israeli state accountable for its contravention of this
• Working within our medical organizations to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide in Gaza
• Sponsoring and advocating for educational events
• Supporting Canadian healthcare providers who have faced material loss and/or reputational damage from employers as a result of speaking out against Israel’s genocide in Gaza
• Raising awareness of anti-Palestinian discrimination and racism and its prevalence across many Canadian institutions
• Supporting boycott, divestment and sanctions of Israel within the medical sector to maximize pressure on the Israeli government to end their genocidal policies towards Palestinians
