Every January, the President delivers a State of the Union address. At the people-powered U.S. Department of Arts and Culture we know that democracy is a conversation, not a monologue, and we invite everyone to supplement the President’s stories with our own. Together, from January 23-31, we'll host story circles in our homes, schools, houses of worship, public parks, and community organizations. Then, a group of poets will collaboratively compose the Poetic Address to the Nation, which will be performed and broadcast live in February.
