Action Builder, like Action Network, has been built through an authentic cooperative partnership. We started working with the AFL CIO in 2017 to build this tool collaboratively, and we launched Action Builder in spring 2019 to the broader progressive movement. The toolset focuses on the organizer’s experience, making it easy and intuitive to log individual conversations from any internet-connected device.

From the start, we saw our competition as pen & paper — notebooks and lightly used napkins that pile up in glove compartments and passenger seats. Organizers have always found ways to keep track of the information that matters, but too often it’s opaque to anyone but them. And then information is lost when an organizer is moved to another campaign or when a volunteer gets too busy with whatever else life is throwing their way. With Action Builder, all that data is always in your pocket.
