Elon Musk is threatening to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) under the Trump administration.

The CFPB exists solely to hold potential financial predators accountable and protect working Americans. Financial scams like mortgage fraud, wrongful debt collection, and for-profit colleges are all investigated and handled by the CFPB – dismantling it would give predatory lenders free reign to wreak havoc on working families.

Financial predators need to be held accountable for scamming and defrauding millions of Americans. We can’t allow their shady actions to go unchecked and Congress shouldn’t either. Help us urge members of Congress to stand up to Elon Musk and protect working Americans.
