In March, Nevada state employees at the DMV received an unprofessional and unsettling message: change your attitude for find another job. This unprompted message was not in response to any specific workplace incident but rather management's continued disregard and disrespect for workers.

DMV management said they didn't mean to "offend" anyone, while also announcing temporary workers will be hired to address mounting workloads.

The context was clear: DMV staff should just suck it up because they are expendable and easy to replace with contract workers. They’ll say the contractors are there to help but pretty soon, there is always the possibility of state positions are being eliminated. This isn’t a new tactic.
