Labour have backed the biggest tree burning power station in the world. It's time to take the power back.

The Labour government has just decided to give tree burning power station Drax more public money to keep running until 2031 at the least. This is reckless decision, putting the interest of Drax and their lobbyists above people and planet.
Not only is Drax Power Station the single biggest source of CO2 emissions in the UK, they are also the world's biggest tree burning power station. Particularly egregiously, Drax fuels environmental racism in their creating of pelleted wood to burn by forcing whole communities to live under toxic dust and pollution clouds.
This decision is a disaster for the climate and the communities at the frontline of Drax's wood pellet industry. Not only that, but it breaks their own rules.
Crucially, the fight is not over. The decision still needs to go through due process, so we are still in a window of time to stop Drax. Now, more than ever, we need to take direct action against Drax and the political infrastructure that props them up.
