Alicia Hernandez Strong was born and raised in working class New Britain, and is running for mayor to demilitarize the police, and reallocate funds to public schools and mental health education, and to protect tenants' rights from landlord exploitation. Having ran Congresswoman Jahana Hayes' district office, led the CT chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, and co-founded the New Britain Racial Justice Coalition, Alicia is more than ready to take on the political establishment in her groundbreaking grassroots campaign for office.
