Take Action: Tell Governor McAuliffe to fix Alexandria's sewer overflows!

The public has a right to clean water and healthy rivers! We are calling on Governor Terry McAuiliffe to sign into law a bill the Virginia General Assembly passed last week that would require Alexandria to eliminate 70 million gallons per year of raw sewage and stormwater the city currently discharges to the Potomac River within the next 8 years. We feel this is reasonable. The wealthiest city in Virginia should fix its sewage problem and stop dumping raw sewage into the Potomac! Alexandria has asked the Governor to veto the bill, which would allow sewage dumping to continue indefinitely.

Please call Governor McAuiliffe today at 804-786-2211. Ask him NOT to veto Alexandria's sewage bill! Put an end to Alexandria's sewage dumping to the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay!
